If you are reading this post it is because you surely want to enter the world of photography, well that is what I am here for, taking photographs goes beyond pressing a simple button as many believe, and you always learn new things.
In this post I will name 3 fundamental things that you should know about your SLR camera to take all types of photographs. Taking this information into account, the rest is a matter of practice, which does not mean that it is the only thing we should know to become photographers. Remember that a photographer is the one who takes photos and not the one who has a camera.
SHUTTER SPEED, APERTURE AND ISO are the 3 things we will see to master this art, since the type of photography we want to take will depend on this.
SHUTTER SPEED
This tool, as its name says, controls the shooting speed of each photograph we take. This speed is measured in fractions. Depending on the camera model, there will be some that will be faster than others, especially if it is a camera with a Full sensor. frame , so that you understand it better I will tell you this way, most cameras with an APS-C sensor have a limit speed of 1/4000 , this means that 1 second is divided into 4000 times, making the shutter opens and closes at an extremely fast speed, this will help us take photographs without having to worry about them being blurry, but we will not always use these types of speeds. What happens if I lower the shutter speed? , very simple, the least you can slow down is 30 seconds since after that we go to BULB mode, but I will explain that to you in another post, let's go easy, when slowing down you must keep in mind that the photo It will be blurry, that is why for this type of photographs with extremely low speeds the most important thing is to use a tripod, with this technique we can take fascinating photographs.
The shutter speed, in addition to what I have told you, also allows the passage of light to the sensor of our camera. The faster the speed, the less brightness we will have since the shutter will open and close extremely quickly, but not so. a low speed since it will take longer to close, allowing more light to pass to our sensor.

High shutter speed

Low shutter speed
DIAPHRAGM
The diaphragm aperture is what allows us to regulate the passage of light that passes through our lens towards the camera sensor, but in addition to that it also allows us to control the depth of field , the diaphragm is part of the different objectives (lenses). ) that exist, its values are represented in numbers and with a letter f/ . Depending on the lens we use, we will have a higher or lower f/ number. The lower the aperture number, the greater the amount of light we will have and the less depth of field, while the higher the number, the less luminosity and the greater the depth of field.

f/1.8

f/22
ISO
The ISO, like the Aperture and the SHUTTER SPEED , allow us to control the light, but unlike these other two, the ISO does it electronically, when we talk about ISO what we are doing is forcing the sensitivity of the sensor to to be able to get more light, as we increase the ISO we will notice that noise will appear in our image, so that you understand well, noise is a kind of grain that appears as we force the sensor, so it is advisable to keep this setting to a minimum, which does not mean that it is not used, this is essential for night photographs or even many times there are those who use it for pleasure.

ISO 100

ISO 12800
Very good ! Now that you know the basics of taking photos in manual mode, grab your camera and go out and take photos, that's what it's all about, trial and error, the only way to take good photos is to practice.
