TRAVELING BY BICYCLE (CANADA)

Hello, as you can see, today, August 1, 2018, I have started this adventure, a journey that undoubtedly has a lot to discover, learn, explore and, above all, value and be grateful for the beautiful moments that life delivers, in this blog. I do not intend to tell you about the places that you should know or much less tell you how much a plane ticket costs, my travel reality is different and of course there are many ways to travel, I will especially tell you about my bicycle trip, it is evident that I cannot walk around the city like a normal tourist leaving my things anywhere, especially when you are traveling alone, here I am going to talk to you from my point of view as you could do too, nor can I forget to mention that this blog has a lot to do with photography, since one of my great passions is to capture beautiful moments that life gives us, so I will also give you some tips on how to use the camera and other things over time.

My trip begins in North America, Canada, in the city of Montreal, where I managed to live for a period of 1 month, getting to know a little about its culture and ways of living, now with my things ready to leave, I start from the street Saint Michel, maneuvering my bicycle for the first time with a weight of approximately 65 kg, when crossing the street to go to my destination I was unable to maneuver the bicycle, I was able to realize that there was a lot of weight ahead, I had no choice but to return and leave some things in the place where I lived, after that I did my second maneuver test, the truth is that it turned out quite well. The way I move around the city is with the map that I have on my cell phone, and here is the first tip, maybe some of you already know it and there are others that maybe don't, there is an application called "MAPS ME", which allows you to download the maps and be able to use them without having to have the Internet, just by activating your GPS and entering the address you want to reach, whether by vehicle, walking, by bicycle, etc., but you must also have a second option Let's not forget that technology is good, but it also has its cons, if the battery runs out we will have to know where to go, that is why you should always have a map apart from the GPS, in my case I am bringing one of North America , which allows me to see the streets from Canada to Mexico, now returning to the route, and following the route through the city of Montreal, trying to get out and move forward as much as I can on this first day, I manage to get out and cross into the city of Laval, where I realized that it was the place where I would spend my first night, that day I was very tired, since the day before I had gone to bed very late organizing my things for the trip, I had not had lunch either and the only thing I wanted was to find a place to spend the night, after advancing several km I had the great idea of going to the fire department to ask if I could put my tent inside the establishment, they very kindly told me that it couldn't be done, but wanting to help me They gave the information about a nearby place where perhaps I could spend the night peacefully, it turns out that the place was on the side of the road, I went to investigate the place and it actually looked very quiet, so around 5: 00 pm I decided to set up my tent, I had a lot of time to have continued pedaling, since in these parts it gets dark at 8:30 pm due to the summer, but in the conditions I was in and since it was the first day, I took the option of staying. there even though it was early, so I just had to wait for it to get dark, rest and then continue on my way the next day, and that's how I ended up sleeping my first night on the side of the road.
